RE: Smelly Water....

Well, now I am not sure. The water coming from the tap did inn fact smell like sulphur and I thought that it was because of the P trap, but, now that everyone mentioned the hot water tank, I went to smell the water in it and it too smelled like sulphur, so, it could be either or the combination of the two. I moved the P trap to as straight up as possible as I can't go 90 degrees with it due to it interfering with the wood under the sink. I will also flush the hot water tank and hope for the best.....

RE: Smelly Water....

Actually, the campgrounds water was good. I removed my connection and smelled the water myself and it was fine. It was actually coming from my plumbing as the "P" trap was not in the correct place.

Roof Caulking...

I noticed that the roof caulking is starting to peel in some areas on my PUP's roof. The PUP is a 2005 and I wanted to know if it is normal for that to be happening so soon ? What would be the proper procedure to remove and install new caulking ? Is there a special roof caulking for PUPS ?

Smelly Water....

I have a good one for you... Our last outing produced a rather smelly rotten egg sulphur smell coming from our water which was connected directly to the campground water. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out where it coming from until we got home and I opened up the trailer to expect the plumbing. Here is my hypothesis of what happened.. The P trap under the sink had turned sideways, so that it wasn't fitting the way it supposed with the trap straight down. I tried to turn it by hand to the normal position and low and behold.... it won't go perfectly straight as it hits the wood under the sink ! You would think that they could at least manufacture these PUPS so that mostly everything fits properly. Now I have to decide how to fix it so that it won't move again. By the way, it moved because I was tightening the outside sewer drain too tight. Has this happened to anyone ? If so, how did you fix it ?

RE: mold/ mildew preventive spray?

I have a 2005 Flagstaff 825D (now disc'd) with some major mold issues as well. I have tried mutliple products and have had no luck so far. I am still not sure what the material is as some of it looks like straight canvas and other parts are a canvas with a soft white material coating. The worst parts are the many black dots over the beds and on the outside of the canvas zippered windows. I am open to any further suggestions that you may have. What about using one of those steam Sharks ? Would that work ?

RE: Bumper Mount Tool Box?

Hey salesguy,
I would love to install those (not sure what to call them) rear hydraulic mechanisms on the trunk on the front of my pup as the darn thing doesn't stay up and constantly whacks me in the head. Do you know if they would work as well on the plastic trunks ? Can you tell me where you purchased them and how you installed them ?
Thanx..

Bike rack question ??

Just picked up a new bike rack for our pup at a great deal and have an important question... Where do you install it ? I have seen them installed from the front of the pup all the way to the back. My dealer told me to install it over the axel or a little behind it if possible. Is there really a correct spot for them ? If so, why have so many people got it wrong ??
Thanx...

Anyone using the Equinox or Torrent as their TV ??

Well, I am looking for an "affordable" new TV for our 12 foot box PUP. Is there anyone out there towing a 12 foot box PUP with either the Equinox or Torrent ? If so, can you please provide me with some feedback ??? It would be greatly appreciated. Any other ideas on what to look at which is both price and fuel economical ?
Thanx..

the cape

One more question....we have finally narrowed down our search to cape cod...started in Maine, then Hampton beach, and finally decided on the cape. We have found three campgrounds we are interested in. We would appreciate your feedback!!! They are: Cape cod camp resort in Falmouth, Bayview campground in Bourne, and Sweetwater forest in Brewster. We like secluded sites, clean restrooms, and fun activities for the kids. A pool is a definate draw, however, we would settle for a lake, considering how close the ocean is (There are no oceans in quebec!!! )
Thanx...Steph

Hampton Beach Area Campgrounds...

Well, I hate to say it, but, we have changed our destination once again and we are now looking to save at least 4 hours of extra driving by staying in the Hampton Beach area in NH. If you have been there, where did you stay and how would you rate the campground out of 5 stars ? I have two kids, 8 and 13 and will need some activities at the campground and some suggestions for activities off the campground. A spectacular ocean view would be our preference. Any and all info would be much appreciated.

RE: Fells like spring, i should be camping

Wow !! When we say 50 or 60 out here, we are are referring to the amount of snow outside ! Our pup right now is under at least 2-3 feet of snow. Looks like it won't be warming up until June !! Gotta move and take advantage of some warm weather elsewhere.........

Bar Harbor KOA vs Searsport Shores......

Well, it looks like we finally narrowed down the choice to either Bar Harbor KOA and Searsport Shores Campgrounds. Could you please weigh in with your choice, good and bad stories, feedback on activities for kids, etc. We will need to book now for August so anything you can add would be greatly appreciated...
